About Me

I'm a wife, mom, writer, super hero...okay, one of those is NOT true.
Below are a few things about me:
I'm Indian. Was born there, but at the ripe old at of 6 we moved to the states. I grew up around the Washington DC area but no longer live there. I miss it, especially during the fall.
I'm under five feet tall.
I met my husband at a wedding. It was the wedding of my sister to his brother. Yes, sisters married to brothers. It's perfectly legal.
I have four beyond gorgeous children: 2 boys and 2 girls. Perfect.
I've been writing since the second grade. I remember writing a mystery about a kid named Nevada in my class who is falsely accused of stealing another classmates hat. I drew pictures and everything.
I love writing and reading YA.

Favorites:
Color: pale yellow because it's happy, and green because I look good in it.

Movie(s): Empire Records, Labyrinth, Legend, Pride and Prejudice (both A&E version and the Kiera Knightly version), North and South (based on the Elizabeth Gaskell book), Anchorman, The Other Guys, Horrible Bosses, Two Weeks Notice, Beauty and the Beast, LOTR, Batman Begins, Serendipity, Shaun of the Dead, The Avengers, The Croods, Drop Dead Fred, The Goonies,

Book(s): The Sevenwaters Trilogy, LOTR, The Witch of Blackbird Pond, Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, Keeping the Moon, Tithe, TMI series, Ella Enchanted, The Fault In Our Stars, The Scorpio Races, The Treachery of Beautiful Things, Summers At Castle Auburn, This Lullaby, The Raven Boys, Torched, Smart Girls Get What They Want, The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer...I'll probably add more to this as I think more on it.

Show(s): The Office, Lost, BTVS, Angel, Roswell, Gilmore Girls, Captain Planet, X-Men, Modern Family, OUAT, PLL, The Walking Dead, Chuck, One Tree Hill (didn't love the post Lucas and Peyton era so much), The OC (mainly because of Seth Cohen), The Mindy Project (not just because she's Indian, she's also hilarious), Arrested Development, FNL, Parenthood.

  1. Hi Prerna,
Earlier you indicated that you wanted to participate in the October Memoir and Backstory Blog Challenge http://www.janeannmclachlan.com
I assume you've changed your mind, so I'll take your name off the blog hop unless you let me know otherwise. Best of luck in your writing!
